The Utah Air Force Association and Aerospace Education Foundation along with the Ogden Air Logistics Center Commander are pleased to co-sponsor the annual Focus On Defense Symposium and Charity Invitational Golf Tournament during the third week of June each year.

This event has become one of the premier events of the Air Force Association. Proceeds from the annual three-day event benefits the Utah Aerospace Education Foundation. To date, over $450,000.00 has been contributed and used to benefit several Utah Universities and High School ROTC programs. Proceeds from this event are also used for the Outstanding Teacher of the Year programs in Utah Schools, the Space Trailer Project, Air Force Memorial Fund, Air Force Assistance Fund, Hill Aerospace Museum, Hill Air Force Base Educational Programs and many other very worthwhile projects of the Aerospace Education Foundation.

The three-day FOD and golf tournament is a chance for members from government, military and industry from throughout the country to get together and discuss timely topics in a well-structured forum. In this meeting, they hear from government speakers from throughout the Air Force. Speakers from Industry are invited to share thoughts and visions on a variety of subjects and topics as well.

The golf tournament affords the participants an opportunity to sample two of Utah's premier golf courses. The Hill AFB Hubbard Golf Course and Wolf Creek Golf Resort are two of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in the surrounding area. Located in the midst of the majestic Wasatch Mountains, these courses offer challenging greens, long fairways and beautiful scenery with plenty to talk about after the round.

Realizing the need to have some time to socialize and discuss topics in a non-formal manner, we have included social events each of the three days. The Salmon Bar-B-Que on Wednesday, the Mid Course Correction Social on Thursday and culminating with the Awards Banquet on Friday have become a standard of excellence for all participants.

On behalf of the entire AFA/AEF committee, we hope you will plan to attend this annual event. We welcome you to our Symposium and Golf Tournament. For further information please look through the Web site.
